It’s not much in terms of technology addition, but this move tells us a lot about Twitter strategic thinking. Today I noticed they added the notes in our profiles’ sidebar.
No big addition, but it is an awfully familiar feature:
Where Twitter goes a step further is by enabling you to write a note on anybody’s profile, something Facebook doesn’t allow. In other words, Twitter Notes are a form of contact management tool. That’s a pretty neat idea. They are adding a lot of new and unexpected features lately, which makes me feel like Twitter will look completely different in about a year or so.
