Brazilian company Vtex recently bought UniteU. In the opinion of the company’s analysts, the acquisition will guarantee a synergy for optimize and strength organically the platform services.
A Strategic Partenership
Vtex is a cloud commerce platform for developing companies. It recently bought its direct competitor in the United States: UniteU. The strategic partnership improves the infrastructure of its platform and makes it smarter.
The acquisition will bring more than 100 potential customers as well as expand the company presence to Canada.
Vtex will soon integrate UniteU technologies into its cloud-based trading platform. After that, online merchants and retailers will be able to unify different data related to their operations. They will obtain a more detailed view of the key areas of their business, from the acquisition until storage, shipments, and sales.
North America Vtex General manager Alex Soncini said: “With this purchase, we are getting the best of both companies. An innovative trading platform driven by a server-less front-end environment, now combined with a powerful unified commerce data center”.
UniteU has dozens of ready-to-use integrations. Retail Pro, Microsoft Dynamics NAV, AX, Netsuite, Lightspeed are among them.
Vtex customers include Sony, Walmart, Whirlpool, L’Oreal, Pandora, and Avon, with operations in more than 28 countries. More than 2,400 online retailers are using Vtex platform.
Vtex will fully integrate UniteU as part of the agreement. UniteU CEO Soumen Das will join the Brazilian company as vice president.
“The combination of the strengths of both companies ensures a more powerful presence that can address the needs of digital commerce directly and optimally,” Das added.
