The Mexican state of Jalisco promotes talents development

Jalisco Talent Land arrived at Expo Guadalajara. The main objective is that young people in the Mexican state get interested in tech professions.

Jalisco reaffirms its commitment to technological development through ‘Jalisco Talent Land‘ 2019, a project that seeks to direct young people to become the talents that companies need.

This event is carried out by the Ministry of Education of Jalisco and the Municipality of Zapopan and has activities open to the public such as workshops for children in entrepreneurship, science, and innovation.

The main objective is that young people in the Mexican state get interested in tech professions and thus achieve a better quality of life. It is also a bet for the future because the companies will find in the state of Jalisco the talents that they need.

In a survey conducted by the World Economic Forum, 74% of the companies consulted said that when choosing a location, they prioritize the availability of local talent. This situation leads to a war of talents in the world and Jalisco seeks to position itself with this type of project, amending some of the shortcomings of tech education.

In Jalisco, giants of technology such as IBM are already present. Also, several offshoring companies are betting on the development of this Mexican state, such as Tata or Blue Trail Software.
