Alisée de Tonnac was born in Switzerland. She graduated with honors from the master of international administration. De Tonnac was part of the Italian team of Voyage Prive, a European startup. Later she became Product Manager of one of the most luxurious of Grupo L’Oreal. The work with the cosmetics brand left her deeply dissatisfied, so she quit to travel the world and organize what would be Seedstars World.
In 2013, Alisée De Tonnac co-founded Seedstars World. To begin this work, De Tonnac traveled around the world to establish a startup competition in areas with the potential to become active. Currently, De Tonnac is the CEO of Seedstars World.
Seedstars operates in more than 75 emerging markets, in countries such as Nigeria, Colombia, Jordan, and the Philippines. The competition connects entrepreneurs with investors and grants more than one million dollars in investment each year.
Seedstar organizes more than one hundred competitions in emerging markets, where they usually apply more than 8,000 thousand projects, of which about 800 are selected. From there, 75 finalists are presented in the final competition in Switzerland, where it is a winner.
Alisée de Tonac was part of the “Forbes 30 under 30” list as a social entrepreneur and was a member of the Harvard Model Congress Europe where she won the award for excellence. Alisée de Tonnac also gives talks on TEDx and other forums, where she is considered an inspiring speaker.
