At the AWS Sao Paulo Summit, Amazon announced that the accelerator of startups in educational technologies (EdTech), AWS EdSart, would arrive in Brazil.
EdStart helps startups specialized in EdTech to develop a company with the solutions offered by their service for the AWS Cloud. With AWS EdStart, entrepreneurs have access to a series of tools focused on building the next generation of technologies for online learning.
Brazil is the first country in Latin America where AWS EdStart will be, as well as being the second country in the Western Hemisphere. This division of Amazon began operations in the United States in 2017 and is currently present in 34 countries.
Katie Fang, founder, and CEO of SchooLinks, comments that “there are multiple challenges that EdTech startups face from growing the business to its technical infrastructure. The AWS Edstar program gives us a start address with specialized experience and new perspectives so that we can focus on innovation. It’s great that a company like Amazon worries too much about education and investing resources to help grow startups like ours to scale faster and expand our impact.
