Neoh was born and raised in Kuala Lumpur. He is the youngest son of two educators. Neoh graduated as one of the best students of the Monash-Neoh University course was a fashion model during his teens. He worked for several Asian brands such as Guess, Esprit, Adidas or Nike, in addition to appearing in different fashion magazines.
At the age of 20, Joel Neon Eu-Jin created his first business venture with an agency for fast-growing students. In 2007, he participated in The Firm, a television program produced by Popiah Pictures and ntv7. He became the first winner of the contest.
In 2008, Joel started a business called Youth Asia, a social entrepreneurship technology company, known for being responsible for the creation of technology startups, including YouthSays, which would later be renamed Says Sdn Bhd.
In 2010, Neoh’s team started GroupsMore, mimicking Groupon’s business model. The company joined Groupon through an unknown acquisition and changed its name to Groupon Malaysia after four months.
In 2012, Neoh expanded its work in Groupon to the Taiwan market and became the regional leader of the Southeast Asian markets (Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, and India. In 2013, Neoh was appointed Vice President of Groupon Asia-Pacific, responsible for twelve markets, including Japan, Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Indonesia.
In 2015, Neoh announced his most recent venture, Kfit. Kfit is a platform that connects users with fitness studios, classes and gyms throughout the Pacific region of Asia. In a first-round, Kfit has received $ 3.25 M through investors such as 500 Startups, SXE Ventures, and Founder Global. Kfit obtained $ 12M financing in a Series-A round led by Venturra Capital, with the participation of SIG and Axiata Digital Innovation Fund in 2015.
In 2012, he won the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award for the Emerging Entrepreneur in the Malaysian category. He was named as one of the top 10 entrepreneurs in Asia, as well as a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum in 2013.
