From the hand of Openbravo, the retail chain La Europea has taken an essential step in its digitalization process and offer omnichannel sales.
Openbravo, a global cloud-based omnichannel software provider, helped La Europea become agile and innovative retail. At the end of last month, both companies completed the cloud implementation phase of the Openbravo point of sale. With this new phase, La Europea —which mainly sells wines, spirits, and gourmet foods—, will be able to offer its customers greater agility in operations. At the same time, the Mexican retail company will have greater visibility on its sales from the central network from more than 50 stores.
La Europea completed its integration with SAP, a software company dedicated to improving business productivity. This step means a vital milestone in the digitalization process of the company. La Europea has been collaborating since 2014 with Openbravo.
Openbravo and La Europea teamed up
Openbravo is used as a point of sale solution in the cloud in all stores in La Europea, responding to business needs to offer an improved shopping experience. Since adopting Openbravo, La Europea has managed to increase the number of tickets managed by 20%, resulting in a 15% increase in sales. After this new phase, Openbravo has completed its integration with SAP S4 / Hana within six months thanks to the Openbravo certified connector. This integration has allowed La Europea to have complete and detailed visibility of the status of its sales and warehouse movements from the central office.
“Openbravo offers a modern and complete point of sale solution that covers most of our needs to provide an excellent shopping experience. Its modular architecture has dramatically simplified the effort required to cover our more specific requirements, such as integration with SAP that could be completed thanks to the existing connector very quickly, “said Sergio Arturo García, IT and Processes Director of La Europea.
Openbravo Commerce Cloud is a mobile and cloud-based omnichannel platform that provides retail and restaurant chains with extensive omnichannel functionality built on a flexible technology platform. This service allows companies to innovate and manage change efficiently quickly. “La Europea is one of our most important clients, so we are very pleased to continue helping to advance and improve the business through our solution,” said Ismael Ciordia CTO and Openbravo Client Success Officer. “This announcement is another clear example of the value that Openbravo offers to retailers that currently use SAP, which thanks to our SAP Connector and the flexibility of our platform, are dramatically optimized the time and effort required to complete integration,” he added.
