  • The launch of Startup Circles, a program designed to help new companies with high potential to build, grow, and monetize.

For the consideration of Diego Bassante, Head of Public Policy of Facebook for the Andean Region, “Colombia has built one of the most vibrant innovation ecosystems in the region.” This context has been one of the motivations for Facebook to bring the Startup Hub Bogotá to the country to support startups and developers.

“Technology opens opportunities and drives economic growth. Facebook was born as a startup, and we know how important it is to receive support to get an idea off the ground. ”

Diego Bassante, Facebook executive

Facebook presented the announcement of the Bogota Startup Hub at the launch event of CEmprende, an initiative of iNNpulsa, which also has the support of the Ministry of Commerce and the Ministry of ICT. These Colombian entities have been key allies to bring this Facebook initiative to Colombia. With the help of MassChallenge, a global organization that provides advice for accelerating startups, this initiative will expand throughout the country.
