Laura Gonzalez-Estefani: Early days

Laura González-Estéfani was born in Madrid, Spain. In 1996, she worked as Production Manager of the marketing company Ogilvy. His first venture on the Internet was with the website A portal specialized in tourist information about beaches. This experience helped him to be hired as Group Digital Manager of Siemens and then enter as Internet Marketing Manager on eBay in 2005.

Laura González-Estéfani was the first employee of Facebook in Spain, and from 2008 to 2012, she assumed the position of director of the social network office for Spain and Portugal and then worked in Silicon Valley.

Currently, Laura González-Estéfani’s mission is to help entrepreneurs from all over the world to boost them, whether or not they are in Silicon Valley. For this, he founded TheVentureCity, a global accelerator of emerging ecosystems specialized in growth and internationalization.

In The Venture City, the acceleration model is redefined through a single network. Currently, they have offices in Miami, Madrid, Silicon Valley, and Sydney. The objective of the accelerator is to create an ecosystem in cities to position them on the technological map. To achieve this, they are backed by a team that has a curriculum in which companies like Google, IBM, or eBay appear.

The idea of The Venture City is to help entrepreneurs who are not in Silicon Valley, New York, or Tel Aviv so that their startups have the opportunity to receive capital and advice to grow.
