The categories that sold the most on this commercial date were cell phones, computers, appliances, clothing/footwear, and tools. In any case, Alan Meyer, general director of Mercado Libre, comments that the main achievement was the support to entrepreneurs and SMEs, who were able to reactivate their sales after months of a health crisis:

“More than 3,900 entrepreneurs, small and medium-sized companies were able to participate in cyber thanks to our platform. And that has a huge impact, as they were able to take advantage of visits to our site. We had a peak of active users 150% higher than for Cyber ​​Monday in October, for example, and that was reflected in the sales level of our sellers, which increased by 220%. We are an excellent showcase for them and we have truly become an engine of economic reactivation ”.

Another interesting fact is that 90% of the purchases were sent through Mercado Envíos, Mercado Libre’s logistics unit that is responsible for the distribution of orders nationwide. Also, more than 50,000 packages were delivered to their respective buyers on the same day of purchase; quite a record for a Cyber ​​date, where shipments usually take a little longer.
